MBC Welcomes the Dade Heritage Trust’s Baking in Historic Places
The Dade Heritage Trust takes over the kitchen at the beautiful and historic Montgomery Botanical Center, hidden away on Old Cutler Road in Coral Gables. A 120 acre botanical garden and research center, MBC was the home of Colonel Robert H. and Nell Montgomery. We will bake in the kitchen of their lovely 1930’s home which is meticulously maintained on the property. After a lovely continental breakfast and an overview of the morning, we will get busy learning how to make scones in the tradition of Mrs. Montgomery’s famous teas! A tour of the historic bayfront estate is also included! Space is limited.
Baking in Historic Places is a new series presented by Dade Heritage Trust and a creative (and delicious) way to introduce participants to some of Miami’s most beautiful historic venues.

Dade Heritage Trust is headquartered at 190 SE 12 Terrace, in one of Miami’s oldest buildings (circa 1905), which once served as the original office of Dr. James Jackson. Yes, he has a hospital named after him!
For over 40 years, DHT has been Miami’s leading voice for architectural, environmental and cultural preservation. We appreciate your support!
